Here is the trailer for Victoria new movie Trust
“Trust,” a new romantic drama starring Victoria Justice and Matthew Daddario, has sold key distribution rights to Vertical Entertainment.
The boutique distributor will roll out the film in North America, the U.K. and Ireland, Variety has learned. The release is set for March 12, in select theaters and via paid video on demand. Josh Spector negotiated the deal for Vertical, with UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers.
Set in the glamorous art worlds of Paris and New York, Justice plays a gallery owner married to a newscaster, played by Daddario. When two seductive strangers enter their lives (Lucien Laviscount and Katherine McNamara, respectively), the couple is faced with temptation, jealousy and a mystery that upends their lives. The Exchange is handling international sales on the project, directed by Brian DeCubellis.
“On behalf of my fellow producers, we are so excited to partner with Vertical Entertainment to bring our film ‘Trust’ to screens in North America and UK/IE. This stunningly talented cast and crew joined forces to pour so much passion into every shot of this chemistry-fest of a movie. As a filmmaker, I couldn’t be more proud or grateful of the collaborations and the outcome” DeCubellis said.
Rich Goldberg, Vertical’s co-president, said the film was “a star-powered, temptation driven film with enthralling performances from a talented cast. We’re thrilled to partner with the talented filmmaking team to bring the film to audiences this March.”
DeCubellis wrote the script with Kristen Lazarian and K.S. Bruce. He also produced with Steven Klinsky and Tom Guida. Corey Trent Ackerman, Maureen Sherry and Steven P. Wegner executive produced. Cinematography is by David Tumblety, with editing by Ann Husaini, and music by Joel Douek and Greg Pliska.
As Victoria Justice continues to reside in South Africa for a film she is working on, she’s had the opportunity to take in the beautiful sights the country has to offer. She has finished wrapping up the movie around Thanksgiving and is excited to see the final product alongside her fans. With one project down, Victoria hints at another, which might be her musical comeback after years of waiting. When we say fans are excited, it is in no way an understatement.
With only seven seconds, it is a teaser that is getting fans excited and anticipating for more. One fan, @thehumanlanda wrote in all caps, “EVERYONE CALM DOWN IT’S HAPPENING.” There are tears of joy and screams of happiness. Victoria last had a single in 2015, so having to wait nearly six years is definitely agonizing for her biggest fans. Since it seems to closer than ever, this could mean anything.
Will this be just a single Victoria’s working on? Is it a snippet of a possible studio album? Or will it be something bigger than that? Regardless of what her project is, fans will be exceedingly happy to hear her underappreciated singing voice again.
Stephen Herek will direct “Afterlife of the Party” for Netflix, starring Victoria Justice, Midori Francis, and Spencer Sutherland. The project was announced by Netflix this week, and should be ready to stream in 2021.
The description reads, “A social butterfly (Justice) experiences the biggest party foul of all… dying during her birthday week. To her surprise, she’s given a second chance to right her wrongs on Earth by reconnecting with loved ones, and most importantly, prove that she’s worthy enough to get into the big VIP room in the sky.”
Robyn Snyder and Deborah Evans produced the project, with Carrie Freedle writing the script. Netflix did not announce a premiere window for the movie at this time.
Victoria Justice is expected to star in Brian DeCubellis’ “Push,” alongside Katherine McNamara, Matthew Daddario, Lucien Laviscount, Ronny Chieng, Rosa Gilmore, and Valéry Lessard. Midori Francis is currently filming the rom-com “Dash & Lily” for Netflix with Austin Abrams and Dante Brow, and plays the role of Lanie Bouchard in the fantasy horror-series “The Birch” with Dempsey Bryk, Xaria Dotson, and Brady Romberg.
Netflix’s big October release is “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” which released today (October 9th). The platform also recently released Lily Collin’s “Emily in Paris” series, as well as Adam Sandler’s “Hubie Halloween” movie.
The company’s upcoming schedule includes “BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky” on October 14th; “A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting” on October 15th; “The Trial of the Chicago 7” on October 16th; the “Rebecca” adaptation with Lily James and Armie Hammer on October 17th; and the holiday rom-com “Holidate” with Emma Roberts on October 28th.
That should be enough new content to get you through the month. If you’re looking for free spooky content for the holiday season, you can preview the movies and shows offered from Prime Video, Huluween, IMDB TV, SYFY, AMC, and Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween this year.
